BART GES

BART GES, Station Fire Alarm System (FAS) Replacement, Oakland, CA, 2018-Present. Tarjuna Systems Inc. is performing project management for this project.  Twelve (12) BART stations with related substations, and equipment rooms have been identified for FAS replacement.  The existing FAS serving the stations is original to the station's construction in 1972, is out of date, and is well beyond its normally anticipated useful lifespan.  In addition, it does not meet the current requirements of the governing codes and standards.  The work under Vineet will include PS&E, construction, and construction management. 

 

BART GES, OCC Generator Replacement Program, Oakland, CA, 2018-Present. Tarjuna Systems Inc. is performing project management for this project.  The work includes adding at least 1.25 MW generator at BART Operation Control Center (OCC) to provide emergency power to all existing electrical essential and critical load at BART OCC Lake Merritt station. Critical loads include Relay Rack Rooms, Telephone Rooms, Station Computer Room, Train Control Room (TCR), Future communications based train control (CBTC) loads in OCC, etc. The work under Vineet will include PS&E, construction, and construction management.

BART GES, Systemwide Tunnel Light Replacement, Oakland, CA, 2023-Present. Scope includes furnishing, installing, testing, and commissioning of light fixtures (Yellow, Blue, and White), junction boxes, panels, and breakers; in Walkway, Cross passage, Crossover, Vent Structure stairs & Exits, and Utility Rooms; for M line Tunnel, TBT Tunnel, Berkeley Hills Tunnel, and Walnut Creek Tunnel.

BART GES, Systemwide Incident Energy Analysis, Oakland, CA, 2023-Present. Perform arc flash studies or incident energy analyses as required by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E1, systemwide. The order of studies by locations are: A-Line; L and R-Lines; C-Line; M, W and Y-Lines; W-Line Vents; Shops & Yards; San Francisco Transition Structure (SFTS); and Transbay Tube (TBT).
